March 2014 Empties

I don't know where March went.
It just marched on by.

Oh god. I'm sorry.

In other news, I finished less product than usual which is exciting!
I don't know why I pay attention to the amount of products I finish, but I do.

But, seriously, can you believe that one quarter of 2014 is already over?
Holy cow. It's so weird to think that Christmas is less then (yes, less than) nine months away!

Anyway, before stores start putting out Christmas decorations, here are my empties.

Skincare

I really liked the added moisture this gave to my skin after washing, but I think it's an unneeded step.

By far my very favorite eye cream. I will buy it over and over and over again.

Body Care

I really enjoy this body lotion. It's not overly thick but is hydrating. I'm not sure that it really has "skin firming" properties, but I'm on my second bottle of it, so I must like it.

Gena Pedi Cure
This was my go to foot lotion for a while, but I've since moved on to something less expensive, more readily available and just as good.

This is a really nice powder that helps with chaffing. But it isn't really that much better than baby powder.

Living Proof Straight Spray
I'll always repurchase this. I swear this is a holy grail product for me.

Living Proof Prime Style Extender
This plus Straight Spray keep my hair straight for days. DAYS. Must have for everyone. Ever.

I really enjoyed this dry shampoo. It had a slight scent to it. It worked really well for me, and I love the packaging, The little nozzle makes it easy to direct the product exactly where I want it.

I love this stuff. I use it twice a week and my hair has never been more shiny, full of moisture and less tangley.

I.C.O.N. India Oil
This was my first foray into hair oils and I really liked it. Except for the smell - that is the one downfall for this product. My dad always made a funny face after I put this on.

Makeup

This tube lasted me ages. I love this product. I would definitely pick it up again.

Nails

Greatest topcoat of all time. It is shiny and dries quickly. The one awful thing about this product is how quickly it goes bad. There is still quite a bit of product left, and even after several applications of putting in the Seche Thinner, it still gets so gooey and difficult to use. I will most likely come back to this, but it definitely could be a better formula.

Dental

Oral B Glide Floss
It's floss. It flosses well. Why did I think I should include this?

Other

I was using this to clean my makeup brushes. While it did do a good job, there are other products out there that do a great job.

Bath & Body Works Mahogany Teakwood Candle
My mom gave this to me, I think she got it from a friend of a friend, and I really enjoyed it. It's a very manly scent, somewhat cologne-y. I think I would pick this up again, but more for fall or winter.

Dr. Brandt BB Matte
I did not like this. The formula was splotchy and anything but matte. I would not pick up the full sized.

This was a lot thicker than I had thought and a little went a long way. This small foil packet lasted me about a week.

This has sunscreen in it alright - you could smell it! It was a strong sunscreen scent, which I don't mind. I really liked the color and coverage of this. I would consider buying the full sized.

Living Proof Prime Style Extender
Always. Forever. I cannot get enough.

  1. Congrats on finishing all these! I just started using tarte's eye cream, but I haven't been using it regularly. As for the top coat, can I suggest an alternative to Seche Vite? I am really enjoying INM Out The Door top coat. It dries relatively fast, and doesn't really goop when you reach half way. And it's cheaper than Seche Vite!

    1. Haha thanks! Looks like April is setting up to be another larger empties as I've already finished off a bunch of stuff and w'ere not even a week in! I'm using an old top coat right now that I actually really like, but once I'm done with it I'll definitely pick up the Out The Door! Thanks for the suggestion!

    1. I wish I could do mine seasonally! How do you manage to not finish so much stuff? I'm not really going through a lot of different things at the same time, so that might be why.
